Child safety standards
Last updated October 10, 2026
Tabi is an app for adults to meet in person through short activities at public places. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any attempt to contact, meet or sexualise a minor. This page sets out how we prevent it, how to report it, and what we do when it's reported.
Tabi is for adults only
- Everyone must be 18 or older. Every account gives a date of birth before it can use the app, including accounts made with Apple or Google sign-in.
- An account that gives an age under 18 is refused and its sign-in account is deleted.
- Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are removed.
What isn't allowed
- Any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child, in quests, profiles, messages or anywhere else in Tabi.
- Using Tabi to contact, groom, arrange to meet, or exchange content with anyone under 18, or to help someone else do so.
- Sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material of any kind.
Breaking these rules ends your use of Tabi permanently, and we report it to the authorities.
How Tabi is built to prevent it
- Messages are text only. There's no way to send photos or videos to other people in the app.
- Meetings happen at public places shown on the map before anyone goes, with a safety timer running for every quest.
- Quest titles and descriptions are checked against a moderation list before they're posted.
- Anyone can block another person at once, which hides each of you from the other.
How to report
- In the app: open the person's profile card or the quest, choose Report, and pick Seems to be under 18, Inappropriate content or Made me feel unsafe. Add any details you can.
- By email: write to kimanimac2005@gmail.com with "Child safety" in the subject. Include the person's @handle if you know it.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the police first: 119 in Jamaica, or your local emergency number.
What we do with a report
- Reports that someone is under 18 or unsafe are high priority: the account is put under review as soon as the report arrives, before anyone has looked at it.
- We review the report, the account and its activity in Tabi, and remove content and accounts that break these standards.
- We report apparent CSAE and CSAM to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, in Jamaica, the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) and the National Children's Registry, and we cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
- We keep the information the law requires us to keep for an investigation, even if the account is deleted.
